Challenge
A national property management organisation was undergoing a digital transformation including a new ERP, CRM and asset management platform. Critically, their roadmap had failed to consider data as a fundamental part of the transformation.
A failing data migration was underway and more than 3 months behind schedule, incurring hundreds of thousands in excess costs.
Additionally the legacy Business Intelligence solution (Sisense) was due for renewal. It was not fit for purpose with poor functionality, limited use throughout the organisation and high costs.
Solution
An immediate tactical project was initiated to recover the data migration, recovering the 3 month delay and successfully delivering the migration requirements.
A data strategy project was undertaken defining a new Azure based technology stack and over 30 new BI and AI use cases across the business. A roadmap was produced to implement the use cases, focusing on critical issues like the BI solution and delivering quick wins via BI reports and machine learning.
The roadmap was executed building a new Azure based data platform, migrating all key reporting over to Power BI.
Other business critical projects such as a complex document migration were also carried out alongside the roadmap.
