Challenge
A UK charity was looking to make better use of their data in order to increase donations and improve communication with donors.
With a minimal data team and limited expertise they had attempted to produce their on data strategy. Being unsure of its quality they approached Obsidian Shift for a review.
Without a large budget the charity could not afford a typical consultancy data strategy project.
Solution
A Pro Bono review was conducted to match the data strategy against Obsidian Shifts best practice approach.
Gaps were found in critical elements such as technology and data management, as well as a lack of focus on use cases.
The charity was then supported with gathering fuller requirements and producing a comprehensive data strategy that was customised to their requirements.
